June & July 2021 Newsletter
It's been awhile since my last newsletter and to be honest I really didn't feel like writing this one.
Things can change so quickly and it has been really tough these last few months. I don't know how everyone else is coping but I'm so over things starting and stopping and things being turned upside down. We have gone from being so busy to bugger all happening. I am only a small business and I can only imagine what it is like for the larger businesses. How do they cope?? I am grateful that I do have some regular weekly work as this keeps me sane, thank you Minori Pantry xx
Anyway here is some news from us and I hope you are all coping ok with the border closures and restrictions

I tried this recipe from Maggie Beer and wow did it pack some punch. It was easy to follow and I had all the ingredients except verjuice which I substituted for white wine vinegar. Worth a try. https://www.maggiebeer.com.au/recipes/lemon-and-caper-oven-baked-chicken-thighs-with-lemon-and-rosemary-cous-cous
We have started watching The Cook of Castamar on Netflix and I must say Im really enjoying it. If you loved series like Bridgerton and The Crown, then you are sure to love this period piece. It is set in 1720 Madrid where a talented cook catches the eye of a widowed duke just as he returns to aristocratic society. If you get to watch it do let me know what you think of it.

KYOGLE BUSINESS AWARDS & FINALISTS
THE SHOW MUST GO ON! *Important Info for Business Awards Finalists and Ticket Holders* With continued restrictions and uncertainty around in-person events, the Kyogle Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to move our Local Business Awards presentation (originally scheduled for July 24th) to an online Zoom event. Read on for details... An online Zoom event will be held next TUESDAY, AUGUST 3RD at 9am where Jane Laverty (Regional Manager of the NSW Business Chamber) and local Chamber committee members will celebrate our finalists and announce our local winners. This will allow our local winners to represent our region in the next level of the awards. What about the Gala Dinner? We still believe local businesses need to celebrate, and we want to acknowledge each and every finalist for their hard work. That's why instead of planning an event around uncertain restrictions, we have decided to hold a Small Business Gala Dinner in October (which is Small Business Month). The Gala Dinner will feature all of the good food, great company, and entertainment originally planned for the Awards Night, and finalists and winners will be recognised. SAVE THE DATE for October 30th at the Kyogle Bowling Club. If you have already purchased tickets, these will be altered to the new date and time - we hope you will join us for that much-needed celebration. Stay tuned here on social... later on, we'll put up a link so you can join our ONLINE event next Tuesday (you'll need a free Zoom account or the Zoom app to join us) - August 3rd from 9am for our winner's announcement. This will be emailed to finalists and sponsors. And save the date for our Gala Dinner on October 30!
