Hello, I'm Debbie and I am a self-taught cook and live in the rural countryside of Kyogle Northern Rivers NSW. I am a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. I’m also a fur mom to an adorable border collie, a black cat, goat, one cow and thousands of bees. When I’m not cooking or conducting workshops you can find me in the kitchen (yes I can't stay away) nibbling on some crackers & cheese or relaxing with a glass of red, and listening to music.
How it Started
Gateway Fine Foods began trading eight years ago, as a deli and café committed to providing the community with wholesome food, great coffee and sustainable practice.
In 2018 we sold the shop so we could focus on our catering business which has given us the opportunity to travel to some fantastic venues and have provided amazing meals and banquets to many people.
Apart from the usual floods, drought and fires we, like so many others, are now dealing with the challenges of COVID. It has had a profound impact on how, when and where we can provide our services.
It is therefore with mixed emotions that we have reluctantly decided to close the catering side of our business. We will of course meet all commitments to any events that are currently booked in. Moving forward, and when COVID restrictions ease, we will resume the ever-popular food workshops and long table lunches.
We thank everyone who has supported our little business. We are forever grateful to you for inviting us into your homes, properties, venues, holiday getaways, offices and workspaces and farms. We have sincerely loved putting food on your tables and helping to create memories for one and all.
